Design by Julie Easton
Julie Easton grew up in a large family in a small town in central Massachusetts. Her mother was a gifted piano teacher and choir director with an infectious laugh. Her father was a brilliant businessman turned social worker with a quirky and deep wisdom.
In her school years, Julie was a precocious student who loved Art class and student leadership. Not sure which direction to go, career-wise, Julie graduated from UMass Amherst with a BFA in Spanish after studying abroad in Seville, Spain. She taught high school Spanish for two years, at which point she realized she was much more excited about decorating her classroom than teaching the language!
She moved on to home furnishing sales in the Boston area, and then to kitchen and bath design, which she has been doing since 2006. She met her husband Greg in Massachusetts in 2011 and moved to Danby, VT.
Now, Julie has started her own Vermont business, Just Kitchen and Bath, where she parlays over thirty years of working with people into helping them create functional, exquisite, personalized spaces.
Having done her own home remodel, she understands how daunting it can be to make decisions and fear getting it wrong, how overwhelming it can be when friends and family are offering their two cents, and how crucial it is to rely on your own instincts to create a space exclusively for you and your family.
Julie will listen to your ideas, guide your decision making as needed, and make the process fun and stress-free!

Alicia Waller
Studio Manager
Alicia brings a unique blend of business strategy, project management, and design experience to JKB Design Studio. She earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont in 2016 before spending four years as a District Manager with Aldi and another four years at Orvis, where she worked as an Item Planner and Buyer, developing a strong foundation in merchandising, planning, and client-focused decision making.
Her passion for design became deeply personal when she and her husband built their family home from the ground up. Working alongside a skilled father-and-son builder, Alicia managed the design, selections, budgeting, and countless details that transformed an empty site into a home tailored to their family's life.
Today, Alicia combines her organizational expertise with a love for thoughtful, functional design to help guide projects from concept through completion. She enjoys collaborating with clients, coordinating the many moving pieces behind each project, and creating spaces that are as practical as they are beautiful.
Alicia lives on her family's farm in the rolling countryside of Pawlet, Vermont, with her husband and their three children.
